The mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy! The burnt ends, St. Lois ribs, and the corn bread were flavorful and tender. The sausage link was not my favorite along with the beans but this place was still worth making a stop and trying it out. I was not disappointed and if I ever visited this area again I will definitely be making another stop. The brisket sandwich was a little dry in my opinion but adding a little sauce will do the trick. Overall it was a great eating experience and I would definitely go back.

Multiple sauces at the table means every bite can be a different style! Original (KC), honey chipotle, vinegar stand waiting at the table and you can ask for mustard, Alabama white, and fuego.

Cool little spot!! The food and service was good. Not loud at all. Large portions to love. And they support the military! There barbecue sauce is amazing!! I can't wait to go back! But I will say that going closer to the holidays was just perfect because there wasn't a large crowd. You can tell that this place is normally packed from the amount of takeout order that were coming through the door. Wasn't able to try everything on the menu, but loved the fiery Mac and Cheese, burnt ends, and pork ribs were bangers!! The sausage and cornbread were also must haves. Simply didn't have enough room on my trays.

Oh man, this spot is definitely one of the top BBQ restaurants in the DMV. Great food, great side dishes, great customer service and great price. Good for the whole family. I strongly recommend it. And on a side note, the cleanest public restroom I have ever seen.

I recently tried Sweet Fire Donna’s for the first time by placing a takeout order for their Restaurant Week special so I could sample a variety of items. The spread included pork, chicken, brisket, ribs, collard greens, mac and cheese, potato salad, cornbread, and key lime pie. The mac and cheese and collard greens were the standouts—both were flavorful and really well done. Unfortunately, the rest of the items were fairly average and didn’t quite live up to the hype. The bigger issue, though, was the checkout experience. When I placed the order by phone, I was quoted $38.05 total, including tax. When I arrived to pick it up, the register also showed $38.05, which I signed for. After my card was processed, I noticed the final charge had increased to $40.01 on the receipt. When I asked about the discrepancy, the cashier explained that the difference was due to a credit card processing fee. I asked where that fee was disclosed, and I was told it appears on the receipt. However, there was no signage at the register or anywhere nearby indicating a surcharge for card payments. The only way a customer learns about the fee is after they’ve already been charged, which felt misleading and, frankly, a bit shady. Transparency goes a long way, especially when adding extra fees. Clear signage would have avoided this entire situation. Overall, some good sides, average mains, and a checkout experience that left a bad taste.

this spot was decent, the service was quick, the staf were friendly, & the brisket was delicious & juicy. Tacos & burnt ends were 8/10. Don't forget to try the Original BBQ sauce & the Honey Chipotle sauce with the brisket. 10/10.

Can't wait to go again - tonight was the 1st time. Initially I was motivated because I saw that they were offering furloughed employees a free sandwich Monday through Friday during the govt shutdown. (I'm not a govt employee, by the way) I read the reviews and suggested to my husband "let's go support this place and have a great, good value meal." Staff were sweet as can be. We had a combo meal plus a few extra sides just because. Yum to everything. Election Day- free sandwich if you voted. Veterans Day, free sandwich if you're a vet.
